Police Case Clearance Rates

Please note, a recent software update in September 2020 has caused this dataset to have a delay in updating the values. This will be fixed as soon as possible. Please check back frequently. A case is considered “cleared” when it is cleared by arrest or exceptional means. Cases credited as “cleared” in a given month or year may have been opened in a previous month or year. For this reason, the clearance rate for a given period may be above 100%.
