Indonesia LESTARI Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction 2015-2019: Deforestation and Degradation

This dataset identifies areas within the 6 LESTARI landscapes where land degradation or deforestation occurred annually from 2015 to 2019.

Proposed Access LevelProposed Access LevelPublicProposed Access Level CommentOfficial GOI (Government of Indonesia) land use data and peat distribution data was used to calculate these changes that led to GHG emissions. This data was accessed through project partners for the purpose of defining the baselines, and measuring GHG reductions in LESTARI supported landscapes as a result of all stakeholders and managers improving management. GOI data is not publicly available, but this data has been wiped of any proprietary information, and can therefore be shared. USAID LESTARI produced 2019 land use data for all landscapes in-house as official data had not been published at the end of the project. Data for 2018 in the Aceh landscape is also available as this was produced by the project.
