PREDICT Animals Sampled

PREDICT Animals Sampled

Contains the attributes of the animals that were sampled during the project. There can be 1 to many animals to one Site/Event Characterization entry.

Columns

NameSocrata field nameColumn name in sgr mountData typeDescription
ScientificNameToLowestKnownRankscientificnametolowestknscientificnametolowestknTextThe scientific name of the animal sampled. If complete genus species is unknown, this will be the next known level of taxonomic classification (i.e. genus, subfamily, family).
TaxaGrouptaxagrouptaxagroupTextThe taxonomic description of animal sampled.
PREDICT_EventIDpredict_eventidpredict_eventidNumberThe numeric key to the event which the animal sample data belongs to. This can be used to link this dataset to the Site/EventCharacterization dataset.
AnimalIDanimalidanimalidTextThe text value of the ID of the animal.
CountrycountrycountryTextThe name of the country where the sampling occurred. Is auto assigned by system by linking to the event ID.
AnimalUseProducedSoldanimaluseproducedsoldanimaluseproducedsoldTextThe intended use of the animal product. Will default to "N/A" for animals that are not hunted, for sale in restaurants or markets, in an abattoir/slaughterhouse or in/along the value chain.
AgeClassageclassageclassTextTo the best of the sampler's knowledge, the animal's age class.
SampleLocationLatitudesamplelocationlatitudesamplelocationlatitudeNumberThe GPS location where the animal was sampled, could be more precise then the site and/or event location, but defaults to the event location if not provided.
PREDICT_IndividualIDpredict_individualidpredict_individualidNumberThe numeric key to the animal sampled. This can be used to link other datasets to the animal.
GeoReferencegeocoded_columngeocoded_columnPoint
ConditionAtSamplingconditionatsamplingconditionatsamplingTextThe condition of the animal sample at time of sampling. Alive (non-invasive sample collection) is used for samples that are collected from groups of animals where the actual source of the sample is unknown. Some examples are guano from a bat cave and saliva from chew ropes.
SexsexsexTextThe sex of the animal sampled, as determined by the sampler.
TaxonomicRanktaxonomicranktaxonomicrankTextThe lowest rank of which the animal identification is known.
AnimalClassanimalclassanimalclassTextDescribes if the animal is wild or domestic and whether it is free-ranging or captive.
World Map:@computed_region_2iyb_eh4j:@computed_region_2iyb_eh4jNumber
SampleDatesampledatesampledateCalendar dateThe date the animal was sampled in the field, defaults to the event date if not provided.
IDCertaintyidcertaintyidcertaintyTextIf the animal was barcoded, the certainty corresponds to the barcoding results and indicates the percent of sequence match. For animals not barcoded, the certainty is based on the field team's confidence in the species identification. Species identities that could be inferred through a combination of barcoding results, field morphometrics, and other data are indicated with "combination field/barcoded ID certain"
SampleLocationLongitudesamplelocationlongitudesamplelocationlongitudeNumberThe GPS location where the animal was sampled, could be more precise then the site and/or event location, but defaults to the event location if not provided.
