No Idling Pledge

This data set contains the names and locations of schools that have signed the No Idling Pledge with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. The pledge demonstrates a commitment to reducing harmful emissions which can negatively impact children’s health.

Schools that voluntarily sign the pledge commit to:

• Turning off engines while waiting to load and to unload students;

• Using the newest buses for the longest routes;

• Maintain buses to eliminate any visible exhaust;

• Complete school-bus driver training on eliminating idling.

More than 100 individual schools, charter schools and school districts have signed the "No Idling Pledge". Show your commitment to the health of your students, drivers, school staff and community by signing a pledge today!
