Deaths

This is a public use data file on Delaware Deaths for 2009 to 2016 obtained from the Delaware certificate of death. It includes the basic demographic information of the decedent, causes of death, and place of death.

PLACE OF DEATHplace_of_deathplace_of_deathTextPlace or type place of death is listed in the following groupings: Inpatient, Emergency Room- Outpatient, Dead On Arrival, Status Unknown, Nursing Home, Residence, Other, and Not Classifiable.
EDUCATIONeducationeducationTextDecedent’s years of education completed. Education is divided into three groupings; under twelve years of education, twelve years of education, and thirteen or more year of education.
COUNTcountcountNumberThis column has been added strictly to be able to count records for summaries and visualizations. The value will always be "1".
