2017 San Diego County Demographics - Seniors: Labor Force and Poverty
This indicator explores two things in the senior population (residents age 65 years and over). The labor force is the percentage who remain in the labor force* and the second is the percentage who live in poverty using two federal poverty levels (FPLs), below 100% and 200% FPL.
*In labor force refer to persons who were working or actively looking for work. It excludes active-duty military personnel and the institutionalized population, such as prison inmates.
