FY22 Minority & Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Spend Report

This dataset shows the breakdown of City of Memphis FY22 spend with minority and women owned business enterprises. The breakdown includes data for all divisions in addition to a citywide total.

Footnotes

  1. Unallocated represents those checks that were not attributed to a division at the time of payment.

  2. Retirement investment, money manager, and custodian fees are excluded from eligible spend in this report, but will be included in a separate report produced by the Finance Division and Investment Manager.

  3. In the event that a business is eligible for both MBE and WBE certifications, the MBE certification is counted. However, a business may elect to maintain only a WBE certification. As a result, the Caucasian Female dollar percent will not exactly match the WBE percent.

  4. Payments to subcontractors are reported by prime contractors on a monthly basis, the total of which is reflected in Column J above. In some cases, depending on the date of prime payment and the date of reported sub payment, these payments could be split across reporting periods. In rare cases, this could result in a percentage over 100% due to the denominator being captured in one report, and the numerator being captured in the following report.
