Total Compensation and Expenses FY2015-2019

State employee salary, benefits and expense reimbursement information starting with fiscal year 2015. For the purpose of this report, all employees of the Department of States Attorneys and Sheriffs are included. Employees in the respective county offices , such as States Attorneys, Sheriffs and Deputy States Attorneys are County employees not State employees.

To access the pay and expense data for Fiscal years 2009-2014, please see data set: Total Pay and Expenses FY2009-2014.

NOTE: Individuals covered by the Safe At Home Act (Title 15 Sections 1150-1160) have been excluded from this list.

2017 Change - Temporary employees now earn sick leave per 21 V.S.A. § 487.

Overtime Payovertime_payovertime_payNumberThis is cash paid for hours worked in excess of defined workday and/or workweek at rates established by law and/or in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements.
PaypaypayNumberThe amount paid to the employee for "standard hours", which for most full-time employees is 2,080 hours per year (some protective service employees have standard hours greater than 2,080). This includes "regular" pay, paid holidays, sick leave, annual leave, compensatory leave, personal leave, and paid leave. Historically, temporary employees were paid only for hours worked - however, as of 2017 temporary employees are also paid for sick leave per 21 V.S.A. § 487. General Assembly members are paid a weekly rate during the legislative session.
